WEDDING FLOWERS – TWO DAY COURSE

Calling all DIY brides, we have put together a fundamentals of wedding flowers course. Come along for a fun and friendly two day experience at our flower studio in Newquay to learn how to bring the wedding flowers of your dreams to life.

Day 1, after introductions, we will kick things off by demonstrating how to condition and take care of your flowers in order to prep them for your special day and guide you with the correct stem count requirements for different elements in your wedding decor.

We will then demonstrate how to make a bridal and bridesmaid bouquet, with a few different techniques so you will find the right fit for you to feel confident in your bouquet making ability.

We will show you different ways of finishing bouquets with hessian or satin ribbon so they look professional and share some top tips to keep them looking their best. After lunch, we will demonstrate a buttonhole and flower girl crown which you will have lots of practice in.

Day 2, we will start with a tea/coffee morning and discuss the different types floral set-up for wedding ceremonies and wedding breakfasts (the main meal). Then Hayley will demonstrate a foam-free table arrangement with flower frogs and ceramic bowls.  After lunch, we will do a group project of an arch build made using chicken wire and a mix of fresh and dried flowers, a professional photographer will come and take photos of your work (and you in action) for you to keep as memories from your time or to use to look back and reference to recreate for your own wedding day.

A selection of fresh pastries, fruits and hot and cold drinks will be available for attendees to help themselves to across the two days. Please bring a packed lunch or lunch money if you want to pop out.

Ticket price includes: all tuition, materials, drinks and snacks, professional photos, your fresh flower bouquets, buttonhole, flower crown and table arrangement flowers to take home, along with a tote bag keepsake.
