“Using wild clay in my ceramics has been an exciting journey. For these vases, I dug up some wild clay and mixed it with transparent glaze to create this unique glaze. The colour just comes from the clay itself. The inside of the vase is glazed with a transparent glaze. I started experimenting with using wild clay as a glaze last year and it’s really interesting to see that clays from different locations can create different colours.”
